The Organisation
The Dutch Union for Progressive Judaïsm (‘het Verbond’) is the denomination that unites several liberal Jewish congregations.
Ever since 1931, the Union has represented and supported the religious, social, cultural and educational interests of the progressive Jewish community.
The Union wants to guarantee, propagate and strengthen the survival and identity of progressive Judaism.
The Union is part of the global organization for progressive Judaism (World Union for Progressive Judaism).
The Union connects
Education
Education is essential to the survival of progressive Judaism. That is why the Union has founded the Levisson Institute, which includes a globally recognized liberal rabbi training course.
For children there are Jewish lessons, adults can ‘lern’ or participate in the cultural activities.
